This pink base vintage Suzani with teapot design was hand-embroidered and hand-sewn in Urgut, Uzbekistan in 1920-30s. The backside is a red fabric.
Suzani is a traditional tribal fabric, hand-embroidered by women in Central Asia. It was usually made by a mother as a dowry when her daughter gets married and presented to the groom on the wedding day. The daughter is then supposed to finish the unfinished part. Suzani comes from a Persian word, which means needle.
This can be used as a wall hanging or a table center or any other way you would like!
