This vintage Suzani was hand-embroidered and hand-sewn in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. in 1930-40s. 

Suzani is a traditional tribal fabric, hand-embroidered by women in Central Asia. It was usually made by a mother as a dowry for when her daughter gets married and presented to the groom on the wedding day. The daughter is then supposed to finish the unfinished part. Suzani comes from a Persian word, which means needle.

The gold color base is silk and the thread is cotton/silk. 

It has a cotton floral fabric on the back. This item can be used as a wall hanging, table center or a decoration in your home. 

Size: about 98.5 x 85.5 cm

This is a vintage item and may have slight effects such as frayed threads, damage/stain from usage.
