Brown Bizen pottery glass handmade by a local artisan in Okayama Prefecture, Japan.

Bizen ware (yaki) is one of Japan's Six Ancient Kilns and it is considered to be one of the most outstanding kilns in Japanese pottery. Bizen yaki is unique as it does not use glaze, like in many other pottery. These ceramics are fired slowly over a long time in traditional climbing kilns with various chambers called Noborigama. The rustic appearance of Bizen ware is suitable for daily use.

The 2 photos with the carob "nice cream (vegan ice cream)" are taken by a friend of mine. Please take a look at her delicious and healthy vegan recipe.

Absolutely gorgeous

I like a lot all types of handcrafts because i'm always impressed by their originality and uniqueness. This Bizen ceramic cup has a traditional and rustic edge that renders it warmer, that makes all the difference ! By using it, you feel as you are travelling through Japan !
